Sakura Tea

Sakura tea is a delicate infusion prepared by pouring hot water over salted cherry blossom petals.

This refined beverage was particularly prized during the Edo period, when it accompanied important celebrations such as weddings. Considered a good-luck charm, this traditional tea held a special place in festive rituals.

For YattaJapan, we've selected Yaezakura flowers, a variety of cherry tree with more numerous and fuller petals than traditional sakura, offering a subtly fragrant infusion.
